General Comments
After listening to an AU 9900 a friend of mine had as a present from his father-in-law (he was renewing his hi-fi system with something more WAF (wife-acceptance-factor) friendly ),I rediscovered the quality and the sound of these once renowned amplifiers (my first one was an AU101).Pity they don't exist anymore!
I tracked down-via Ebay-a couple of Ca-Ba2000 (same age as the 7900 and 9900).They sound superb as they look. Not a scratch from switches or knobs, made of perfectly machined aluminium. No expense spared in engineering and workmanship. It's no secret you don't make money with the pursuit of quality!

I can't agree with you more, I have one that I bought oversees thirty years ago, I have changed many other amplifiers, but this one is my love and is not going anywhere.
