Best Anti Virus Software

I have been using Kaspersky Internet Security for the past 2 years and consider it still one of the very best, if not the best security software. And whilst initially I found it fiddly, it now has become much more consumer friendly.

I've Been Using Kaspersky Internet Security For Ab

I've been using Kaspersky Internet Security for about 4 years now and see no reason to ever change my antivirus software. I have had various trojans try to infect my computer but so far with no success :) I trust Kaspersky completely. Easy to run, technical support extremely helpful (when I first tried to install it I had some issues with the system; they replied to my email same day and I had it sorted soon after) and most importantly, gives me the freedom to download anything I like because I know it will find and neutralize any virus attack! and there's been a few...

It does updates regularly, has an option to do a quick scan if I want to feel extra secure, offers a discount every time I extend the license - what's not to like!?

I recommend it wholeheartedly :)

Kaspersky Ok Until I Picked Up A Virus, Then Reall

Kaspersky ok until i picked up a virus, then really difficult to get to the right technical team to answer the problem. Staff were rude and unhelpful.

You Can Pick Up An Online Version Of Kaspersky Int

You can pick up an online version of Kaspersky Internet Security for under £15 if you shop around. extremely easy to use, just install and follow the instructions. also kaspersky seems to pick up on a lot more virus's than anything else i've used (norton, mcaffee, AVG, Sophos, Nod32). the main advantage of it is it has a "pro-active defense" which means instead of waiting for you to get a virus like some AV software, it stops it before you get anything on your system. the only drawback to it in my opinion is the ear piercing shriek it lets off when it detects a virus, kinda like a pig squeeling.

Would advise this Kaspersky product to anyone. Tried norton, zonealarm, mcafee and bit defender and kaspersky is the better one by far.

The First Thing You'll Have To Remember Is That No

The first thing you'll have to remember is that no anti-virus or internet security package will detect 100% of all viruses, spams, malware or phishing. But this package has probably one of the best detection rates; just read the tests in Computer Shopper etc. I have used it on my laptop for just over a year now and I am very happy with it. It does what it supposed to do and it will warn you when you have updated, upgraded or changed a vital program. It will tell you if it has detected any iffy attacks and it will quarantine them and will ask you what you want to do with it. It is possible to switch the notifications of, though. It does slow the start-up of my laptop down a bit, but I think it's worth it. I did have a rather strange experience when I wanted to extend my cover into the second year, by buying a new 'key' so that I could continue using Kaspersky Internet Security. I was using version 7 but it recommended I upgraded to version 8. This meant I had to uninstall the original package, download the newer version, install it and 'activate' the new account. When entering the new 'key' it kept asking me for my user id and password. After trying numerous times, it would not let me activate the new package! I nearly gave up, but thought I'd try the support web-site. In small print it told me that if you start a new version you do not require any ID or password, and to leave it blank! Anyway, that worked and we're now up and running again. I assume the newer version is just as good as version 7, but we'll see. One other drawback is that you will have to go through the network connection sequence again, as the new firewall settings will have to be changed, otherwise your PC or laptop will not be detected by your network. Overall, I don't think it is much different from other Internet Security packages, other that it's excellent detection rates. And that means I can regularly 'surf' with relative safety that my system will be protected in the best possible way.

Just been sorted regarding the firewall settings for networking your home computers: Do as follows: System Security -->Firewall -->Settings -->Firewall Settings button --> Networks Tab--> Double Click your home network--> Properties --> Status: Pull down Box change from Public Network to Trusted Network.

Easy isn't it... not.

I Am Only Using The 30 Day Trail But I Found The S

I am only using the 30 day trail but I found the software really good and totally planning on getting Kaspersky 2009 very soon. I loved the way it popped up as soon as it found a virus and gave me options on what I want to do with it. I found it better than any other antivirus I have used; the list could go on forever. It can be a little confusing because there are a lot options you can use, I ticked compatibility with apps defence and my laptop wouldn't go on the internet or open up programs, so I had to reset my configuration which was a huge bad point but taught me not to mess around with things I didn't know about. I am running root kit scan, virus scan and start up scan and I haven't notice my computer slow down much. Updates now and again and I don't even notice it so quite.

I totally agree with Peterfleminguk's comments, the same thing happened to me, in the end I had to reformat my laptop I went back to my previous provider. Do not recommend Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0, I personally am always detecting false positives.

I've Been Using Kaspersky For Many Months Now, And

I've been using Kaspersky for many months now, and I find it so much better than any Norton product I have had in the past. It doesn't slow down my computer to any noticeable degree like Norton did, and it sits in the background, non-intrusive unless it detects something potentially dangerous.

Anti-virus databses are updated a few times a day, and the update process typically goes un-noticed and without fanfare, which is what I prefer.

It can sometimes be difficult to navigate through the main interface, for example to find the settings to allow P2P traffic, but I've always found the online help forums from Kaspersky to be very useful.

Overall, a great package, it just gets on with the job!

In My Opinion The Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0

In my opinion the Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 very complicated

A virus still killed my system

Support very slow

Detects everything as a virus sometimes and needs to be retrained

Throws questions about allowing or blocking that no one would understandBought a two year license. This is always giving problems and involves complex procedures to solve from support.
