Good Points
Absolutely comprehensive, easy to use, includes all entries in Japanese script, latin names of all plants and animals.

General Comments
This work is unique: a comprehensive guide to all things edible in Japan, clearly explained with great rigour. But it is not only a dictionary, as it contains numerous annexes that explain important ingredients in Japanese gastronomy such as tea, sak , etc.
