General Comments
We've had the similar problems with our Peugeot 307 1.6 LX which we bought new in Sept 02. The carpet came away in the drivers well, faulty indicator stick and squeaky exhaust. Having read about these problems elsewhere, it took our Peugeot dealer long enough to rectify everything. When the indicator broke after 3 weeks, I took it back to the dealer where the car spent the day. When I picked it up I was assured it was fixed but on driving it up the road it obviously hadn't been touched - and no fingerprints in the dust! It took 4.5 months to source a new carpet and the same amount of time to sort out the sqeaky exhaust after taking it backwards and forwards a few times and being told on one occasion they couldn't hear anything. The tyres have worn quickly too.

I still really like the car though and we will definitely be keeping it for a few more years but I think Peugeot should get their act together - the service from our local dealership has been rubbish.

Driven's Response to jd1371's Review

I could have wrote this exact review! lovely car spoilt by silly annoying things such as a very squeeky exhaust & dodgy indicator stalks, carpet fixings which pull out so the carpet pushes forward (lodging under the accelorator pedal) & the seat pump handle which always comes undone eventually falling off despite using threadlock!. Local Peugeot dealer at Torquay equally useless - couldn't be bothered attitude with a spares counter who ignore you for a long as possible; must be some kind of industry game! Having said that the car is a joy to drive & we love it very much.
