Medisun Hotel

Have just spent a long weekend at Medisun and had a really nice time. Lovely location for a getaway break which is just what we wanted. My friends and I actually live in turkey and needed a break. But possibly if this was your main holiday from the UK for two weeks it may not be enough, depending upon needs.

Staff very friendly and place kept clean. We will be going back lster in september for another weekend break and looking forward to it.

not 4* as quoted, i would rate the Medisun hotel no higher than 2*.

told a week before our holiday that the home flight had been cancelled and asked if we could stay an extra night for a charge and go home on a different flight with an extra charge when we found out that our first flight was not cancelled and we had paid an extra £112.oo at the last min, hotel so bad we had to eat out every day which turned out we over spent very quickly. first room in the hotel smelled of sewers and had a sewer pipe running across the balcony, after cleaning the bathroom we asked to move as we could not stand the smell any longer. no toilets with water round pool and none in reception, toilets in resturant but closed apart from meal times.

When first arriving and the Medisun Hotel i thought it looked really nice. We got to our room and I went to the bathroom and discovered that the bath panel was coming off and the bit where you turn the shower on was also coming off.

Also when you took your shoes off your feet got filthy as the floors were dirty. When we went down to the pool we decided to go to the snack bar - well all they served were hamburgers and chips and if I'm honest it wasn't even satisfactory! It was cold and didn't taste cooked so i fed mine to the cat that was around our pool.

At night when we went down to the restaurant at the hotel, we came to discover that it was all salads and cold stuff that didn't look very appetizing so i had a bit of salad, there was a section which did hot food like chicken kebabs and that so i thought i would try it and i couldn't eat it even though my partner found it was ok but i ended up eating salad and bread.

From that night on we ate out at this lovely restaurant called Viva down on the beach front and i recommend it to anyone that visits there - the food is really nice and the two waiters there are lovely, we got on really well with them. the Medisun Hotel has a partnering a la carte restaurant on the beach front called the Meyzen Restaurant. i do not recommend this!

Me and my partner went down one lunch and asked for chicken burger and chips. ten minutes later a young lad came down the alley we had waled down to get there from the hotel with two plates. he went inside and gave them to the waiter. then he brings them out to us. firstly it was cold, and secondly it was a hamburger which was covered in tomato ketchup and mayonnaise. it was in fact the food we could have got free from our snack bar! even though i had a really good holiday i don't think i would recommend this hotel to anyone else.

I would recommend Medisun Hotel in Bodrum to a friend any day. It is a lovely hotel. The good points were that drinks were always on the flow, alcoholic as well as soft ones, and the staff at the bar were very friendly, always smiling and joking. There were plenty of good activities to do, water aerobics, water polo, everything, nearly all set in the big pool. There was also a kiddies pool, and it was set out nicely with an adjoining area for parents. The tiles on the floor in the pool area get very hot in the daytime, so wear your flip flops when going to the pool. The rooms were spotless and bathroom was lovely, the tiles gleaming, with nice shower gel in a little white dispenser. The weather was lovely, very hot. The staff overall were very nice.
