A Friend And I Booked The "one Day Tour At Peles A
A friend and I booked the "One Day Tour at Peles and Bran Castles" for 49 €. I was picked up at my Bucharest hotel promptly at 8:00 for the tour. Our guide; that spoke excellent English and was quite knowledgeable about the area surrounding Bucharest. We visited the monastery and Peles Castle in Sinaia, then traveled to Bran to see the castle once inhabited by Vlad Tepes, also called "Dracula." We were afforded the opportunity to visit other historic sights along the route. A stop for lunch was planned, though we had to bear the cost of whatever we ordered.
The route was well thought out and very scenic. We had several sightseeing options during the tour and the guide was quite flexible. The guides knew their subject matter and was never at a loss when asked a question. We were deposited at the front door of our hotel right at 21:00.
Overall this tour was the highlight of my stay in Romania. Albatross Travel has a web presence and a very well constructed web site. An excellent value for the cost.
