Don't be turned off the first time you turn on the SanDisk Digital Audio Player. Make sure to turn the equalizer to ROCK setting and audio will be fine.
I paid $196 for it plus theres a 30 dollar mail rebate so it will come out to be around $165. This player is tiny, comes with armband, works very well for working out. The AAA battery lasts about 15 hours. Player shows up as removable device in windows so transerfering is very simple except for the usb adapter cable you have to drag along with you if you want to transfer files to someone outside of your house.
The screen is faily easy to read. Finding songs, changing volume is all easy thanks to the joystick. The easrbuds that come with it are ample since the audio quality of the machine itself is not top of the line.
My main gripe is the low bass effect. I'm used to heavy, ear throbbing base from other players and from my home audio system. There is a small effect, enough to get me by but not enough to make me dance, haha.
The menu takes some time to get used to but you will not be needing it much anyway so that is a only a minor issue.
I haven't really tested the microphone or FM tuner but both seem to be working fine.
