Rusty body as my roof is rusting already on a V reg 1999 1.0e - the laqcuer is peeling from the bonnet. The suspension was replaced for the MOT and has gone AGAIN in less than 6 months. There is run out on the discs which were also replaced for the MOT. The engine has only done 53.000 and has started to rattle and I DON'T drive it hard or fast as I have a 9 year old kid who is in the car with me most of the time. There may as well not BE a boot as you can't even get a decent size suitcase in it let alone a weeks shopping. And the pedals are far too close together when I try to brake I also hit the accelerator at the same time as I have quite large feet. All in all this is the worst car I have ever bought except the fiat 126 I had when I was younger. But at least the fiat engine wasn't rattling like the Lupo.

General Comments
My view is these Volkwagen Lupo 1.4 S city cars are not up to the usual standard of VW. The engine is obviously too soft and I was informed the bodywork was galvanised so how did the roof rust then eh? The suspension is not tough enough to cope with the ever increasing amount of speed humps the councils seem to be placing willy nilly. I will NEVER buy another VW after this, I am very VERY annoyed my car has so many problems when it is supposed to be a new generation of reliability and value for money.
