Watergate Bay Touring Park is not too bad for the...”

Good Points
Beautiful area five minutes from both Watergate Bay and Newquay.

Bad Points
Site facilities sometimes questionable such as the games room that was never open and the beer in the on-site pub was very watery.

General Comments
Watergate Bay Touring Park is not too bad for the money spent, The facilities were quite good despite the games room, with electric points on site (although there were ques in the morning), washing machines, dryer, rooms for washing up, showers, an out-door pool( no heating though), a pub, a playground and a dog-walking field. Bear in mind prices will be quite extortionate during peak time.

The beaches in the local area are quite amazing with little caves, cliffs and excellent climbable rocks.

In the Newquay town centre you can find a whole range of shops and night life.

Not far from the town centre is the Newquay Zoo, which is very cool. It has a whole heap of exotic animals and many landscaped gardens themed with the animals and a labyrinth. The way the actual Zoo is set out is really quite original, there are tubes to slide down should you not want to use the stairs in some areas and stepping stones, some of the animals (heron, some goats, a capabara thing and various other flightless birds too) are not caged and are wandering around for a more interactive approach. In the rainforest section the worlds smallest monkey(no exaggeration) and some bats are wandering around in a recreated environment of tree tops, infact if you reach out far enough and you are quick enough you might be able to grab a cute little monkey to take home.

Whilst your there take a trip to st. Ives to see the Barbara Hepwerth gardens and Tate st. Ives, and if you have a car to try to visit the Eden project too.

Are you writing about the Newquay Zoo or the touring park? Not very clear!
