“The hotel resembles a multi-story concrete car park...”

Good Points
Large room.

Bad Points
The hotel, area, facilities, decor, food, pool, entertainment, etc.

General Comments
The hotel resembles a multi-story concrete car park and is next to the town of Las Galletas on the south coast. The town consists of some shops, bars, a small port and that's about it. It's very busy with traffic, quite dirty with no beach to speak of. The Ten-Bel "resort" which includes the hotel seems to go on for ever along the rocky coast and inland from the town. The whole resort is run down and in need of a great deal of investment. There are also a few shops, restaurants and bars in this area as well.

The hotel has no charm at all, the large sea water pool is surrounded by cracked slippery tiles, paint flaking off concrete steps, cracked concrete, cigarette ends and hundreds of white plastic loungers, chairs and tables. The bar on the same terrace as the pool area (same white plastic chairs inside and out) serves a range of drinks from 10am to 11pm giving plenty of time for the bingers to get their fill, then they can go night clubbing 'till 3am, right next to the hotel and our first room (we moved).

The "restaurant" (they call it) actually a cafe or canteen would best describe the facility, served food exactly the same for every meal with a choice of 2-3 main courses, usually some type of meat, some type of fish, and something else, maybe hotdog sausages left over from breakfast? We were supposed to be on all inclusive basis but ate out quite a few times.

The all inclusive facility consisted of: Food, (awful), drink, lounger beds (mattress extra cost daily, and no beach towels at all) a single table tennis table, a free 10 minute go in the pool with a diving mask and tennis, and that's all we could find to do. However, to play tennis you had to walk 10 minutes to the private tennis club for the key, walk 15 minutes to the other tennis courts next to a road and rubbish tip, play tennis, walk back with the key and then back to the hotel. (Alternatively you could climb through the holes in the fence.)

I could go on about the noise, awful location, being under the flight path to the airport etc, etc, etc., but I hope you get the picture and don't do what we did. Stay there.

This is the worst holiday my wife and I have ever had and we will never return to the hotel, resort or island.
