Compact size

Bad Points
Erratic in performance, failed after short period. Currently awaiting replacement (5 weeks so far!).

General Comments
Unsatisfactory in operation. The Hauppauge DEC 1000 needs to re-tune to retain stations. Signal failure although using boosted aerial reception which works fine for normal analogue. Cannot recommend.

I wish I had discovered this site before buying my Haupage :(. I read reviews on another site which reckoned it was the best value of the bunch. I have sent mine back and hoping for one that works.

Completely agree with both reviews. I also tried using a boosted aerial, but it keeps crashing, losing channels, no sound on BBC4 or Channel 4. And this is a replacement. I shall send it back and reclaim my cash.

I duly returned my DEC 1000 and got a replacement. This was a little more stable, but tends to 'freeze' after 30 minutes. Theres no sound on Ch.4 and no Teletext or usually no future programs information. Needs constant re -tuning. Shall return and ask for money back.
