“royal Air Maroc Are Extortionist”

On Feb 12th, I was booked to travel to Marrakech. I was awaiting an appointment with USCIS for my US Citizenship of Naturalization. The date was unknown, so the flight was booked at the going affordable price. After acquiring my US Citizenship of Naturalization, my name was changed, which was reflected in my new US passport. Expedia was unable to change my last name on the ticket without approval from Royal Air Maroc (RAM).

RAM communicated that providing satisfactory proof of my name change on the day of the flight would have allowed me to board the plane. However, at JFK airport, RAM reviewed my identification documents confirming my legal name change but still insisted that Expedia updated my ticket to match my passport.

However, RAM refused to cooperate after Expedia continuously requested the authorization necessary to refresh the ticket. I was then forced to cancel the ticket with no refund, and purchase a new ticket for USD $1,204.11.

AVOID AT ALL COST IF TRAVELING FROM JFK UNTIL THEY CAN CLEAN UP THEIR REEKING BUSINESS PRACTICES.

Worst To Date

Without a doubt this is the worst airline I have flown with to date. The staff appear oblivious to the fact that they are there to give a service to the passengers. On the four flights that I required to reach my destination and return, two gave safety information two did not. Surely this is obligatory on every flight? I saw not one smile from any of the staff. As for the announcements the English was incoherent babble. Neither I nor my traveling companion understood a word! I will not be in a hurry to re-book.

An Absolute Joke!

I have to fly to Oujda (Morocco) for business reasons and unfortunately it's quite a struggle finding flights there from any other airline. I've flown with Royal Air Maroc 5 times now and on all 5 occasions I traveled on business class spending £1000 per ticket for the most outrageous inattentive service, seating almost identical to standard economy where you'd often find ripped material and dirt. On almost every occasion there's been a problem with the connecting flight from Casablanca. The only thing that I would praise would probably be the food which was of decent quality. The 5th occasion, I arrived in Morocco with my partner and our daughter and we were stranded in Casablanca without being issued tickets for our connecting flight because they "could not see confirmation" on there cursed systems and none of their staff were of any help whatsoever. We'd paid roughly £3k for the tickets and were running around like lost monkeys. I've never felt so humiliated in my life! 5 chances are more than enough I should think, never again will I be using Royal Air Maroc!
