“Eleni Holiday Village: ”

★★☆☆☆

Good Points
Cheap to get there as a last minute deal.

Bad Points
Miles away from anywhere. Terrible entertainment. Expensive bar prices.

General Comments
Eleni Holiday Village:

If you don't like lying by the pool and eating in the hotel- forget it.

Only one other place to eat within a 2 mile radius, pricey and not very nice as they know they have a captive clientele.

One car hire place which was very reasonable and very popular when everyone realised they were stuck out in the middle of nowhere. Two miles to nearest choice of places to eat- we measured it.

Night time entertainment (!) dreadful, bingo and an annoying bloke on the microphone with a humour bypass but who loves the ladies of a certain age.

Large bedrooms nicely furnished.

this was a lovely hotel. we had a great time. restuarant staff, bar staff and the reception staff were all pleasant and friendly. the entertainers billy and helen were great. they did stuff in the day time aswell as great things on the evening time. they did all sorts on the night time from discos for the kids and bingo for the older ones. the food was great and the rooms were great. the hotel was clean and the rooms were always getting cleaned by the fantastic cleaners. we would reccomend this hotel to a friend. we will also return to this hotel in the future.

Good for kids and those who like the "Holiday camp abroad atmosphere" although not for us. Request a quiet room if you don’t want to be bothered by the karaoke, comedy, awful entertainment nights. Most Staff unfriendly and overworked with the exception of the Restaurant manager who was nice. Plenty of Good Food, nice and clean, separate kids buffet. Gym, forget it! Lovely outdoor pool, lots of water games. No one uses the indoor pool in summer. If half board beware of watered down Drinks and high bar prices. Do a nice packed lunch if going out for the day which is free if substituted for meal at hotel. Best to hire a car as nothing around. Bus stop 5 mins away. Absolutely no beach nearby just large rocks preventing you from access to the sea, which is not really suitable for bathing as it is quite rough. Best beaches are Coral bay, half hour on bus.

I feel really bad now! A holiday is what you make it! We go to Cyprus loads, the Eleni is in a quiet place, but the rooms themselves are nice. Hire a car, driving is on the same side of the road as at home and it`s easy to navigate as all the road signs are in Cypriot and English.
