Good Points
At last a Mark and Spencers in a decent retail park with easy parking.Coffee area is a nice touch and clean toilets.Nice shoes too.
Bad Points
Compared to the NEXT shop nearby the window display is dull unimaginative uncoordinated and not helped by shaded glass. Nothing above a size 18
some things expensive.
General Comments
Marks and Spencer is a new shop in an up and coming retail park in Speke , Liverpool . Window display is uninviting and compares badly with the Next shop, which is almost next door. There does not seem to be much coordination in the way the clothes are displayed. Bright and colorful clothes only available in small sizes. Similar products of comparable quality are cheaper in other shops on the park. Nothing much available in size 18 and above and what is available is too dull and ageing ( and I am 55 ) so what chance for chubby youngsters? Inside of store could be brighter and would benefit from fittings which would suggest a permanent store as oppposed to a temporary feel.
This park is well visited and when Marks and Spencer open their foodstore in September this will increase customers to the park but Marks will lose out in the non-food retail if they do not provide more choice. Why carry the name 'Per Una'? It signifies nothing other than boring and pricey. Why don't Marks try experimenting with this particular clothes store by giving a more punchy name, e.g.M&S Millenia or M&S Moderna?
The food store could keep the Marks&Spencer name.
