Good Points
it's stable in the water, very sturdy so it can take a beating, easy maneuverability and good straight line tracking for open water use
Bad Points
moderately heavy and bulky which makes for harder storage and transportation, slower turning speed because of length, not for extreme white water use
General Comments
I mostly use the Old Town Otter Kayak for open, non-flowing water but is also great for creek floating with quick water flow. Small rapids not a problem but you wouldn't want to use it on anything over class 2 or 3 rapids mostly because of length and lack of foot pegs. Can hold a lot of gear in nose and behind seat so it's perfect for camping. Great kayak for beginners and even moderately skilled kayakers who want to steer clear of large rapids.
