General Comments
This Sony DAVS-880 is an all in one, Home Cinema (DVD Player/Radio/Surround Sound/CD/MP3 etc)system. I bought mine off the net ready chipped for Multi Region, as Sony shops only supply Region 2(and are more expensive!!).

Once set up, the DVD system is easy to operate.

The picture quality is excellent, but a few MR DVD's (cheap one's from China) did not play.

The sound quality is very good, however I would recommend an ACTIVE Sub Woofer if you want really good (deep) bass.(Sony DAVS 888 just released).

This is my first DVD player, so I cannot benchmark it to anything else. All UK & US DVD's (Region 2 & 1) have worked, and I am pleased with this product.
