My Family, Husband, Two Kids (6 And 8 Years Old) A
My family, husband, two kids (6 and 8 years old) and myself had our second skiing holiday in Passo Tonale in February 2007.
Hotel: We stayed at The Hotel Dolomiti, which was basic but the very friendly staff and good home cooked food made up for the lack of hotel facilities.
Ski School: We all joined a ski school for the week and the tuition was great, the children had Sonia and developed their snow plough, my husband is a good intermediate standard and was put through his paces. I'm an advanced skier but want to improve my technique and posture, I had a great instructor Irvin who gave me lots to think about!
Resort: The resort has a mix of traditional and not so traditional, overall the food in the restaurants is good but nothing special.
Piste: The piste was very well maintained so a good standard of snow cover was maintained throughout our holiday. The ski school split us into similar ability classes, so it was easy to fully explore the piste.
Apres Ski: Restaurants are not great but the Apres Ski drinking atmosphere is spot on, not that we did much of that with two children in tow.
We've booked to go back in Feb 2008. Note that when you try to re-book for the following year, many of the hotels are fully booked, which is a good sign I think?
