General Comments
Chocolate Labradors are wonderful, beautiful dogs. Like retrievers they are easy to train and love to retrieve items. They can be trained to swim and they love the water. They act as good watchdogs, but not guard dogs. They are very active dogs, and if they do not get enough exercise and stimulation then they will be very hyper and can get destructive. They also like to dig, so if you want to keep yours in the garden, don't get too fussy about your flower beds. On the other hand, they are very good-natured and love children and get on well with other dogs. They are a good dog for a family that likes to spend time outdoors with their animal and is willing to take it on long walks and to the beach, etc.

We lost our lovely Chocolate girl 5 weeks ago, aged 9, with a tumour on the heart. Biscuit could be naughty, and chewed through countless pens and assorted things, including a pair of glasses, when she was young. She was also great at excavating massive craters in the garden. But Chocolate Labradors are incredible, and I made countless friends because of her, and someone told me recently, she was a friend to everyone. We picked out our new chocolate pup on Friday, which we are calling Polly. She won`t replace Biscuit, but we are looking forward to a whole new world of adventures with Polly.
