Good Points
14,900 on the road
Cup suspension
All round good package and quick car.

Bad Points
Have to wait 6-8 Weeks for it!

General Comments
Just about to order a Renault Clio 182 Sport 2.0 16V after having a test drive. It is an impresive car for the money and Renault are doing doing an Interest free credit option this month. It costs £14,900.

Im currently looking to get a clio 182 and dealers in this area are offering serious discouts. They are more than happy to deals, its just a case of doing the leg work and visiting as many as possible. My best price so far is 11,800 with cup spoiler, suspension and met paint.

Colmcad's Response to bigladajl's Review

I hate to be the one that backs up cliobell here. But today I went looking for the best deal on my Clio 182. I have already been to about 15 different garages in the last fortnight, some of which were different branches of the same company and so on.

I live in scotland so I had went to a few garages in my area, Like Parks of Hamilton, Reg Vardy, Shields & even Motorpoint.

Every single one of them said we have to sell at the book price of £14,700 as the car is not long out, they are hard to come by and they wont drop the prices to sell them on easier as there is quite a demand for them. Motorpoint offered me a £12,500 price tag which was very good but the interest was extremely high when it came to finance and they also gave me a shockingly low trade in on my current Clio.

Then today I decided to travel 12 miles to the nearest Arnold Clark Renault Garage. All I had to say was "I am looking to buy a Clio 182", The salesman sat me down, went through the back for a minute then came out and sayed he could have one for me in a choice of Black Gold, Arctic Blue or Titanium for £11,748 including free metallic paint and free cup spoiler pack (being worth £475 in total). I was utterly gobsmacked and after putting off Arnold Clark for so long because I had experienced bad problems with them in the past, I had there and then forgave them for every single sin the had ever commited.

After the trade in of my current 1.2 Dynamique Clio with a little outstanding finance and adding the price of the cup suspension pack, The price came to £12,654 which beat the next best 'price of change' by a whoping £3,500.

This is the 1st time I got to read cliobell's comment, which ironically was after I had gone and did the same thing and when I read it I was amazed to see someone just as lucky as myself to get a brand new Clio 182 for a pricetag u would expect on an ex-demo, pre-registered or imported version. What a result! And all the better is that I have bought all my sound system for my current clio already, so the saving goes in my pocket or more probably towards reducing my monthly payement, As I aint rich enough to buy one outright :-(

I will be writing a review as soon as I get my car and feel I know enough to write a review on it. Until then I can just sit and wait patiently for my little beast to arrive :-D
