Bad Points
Awkward loading. Dreadful drying system.
General Comments
I've owned the Miele G646SC Plus machine for 6 months now, wanting to give it a fair trial before posting negative comments. The cutlery tray is a waste of space, awkward to load and reduces the height available for items in the lower racks. The upper rack for cups & mugs, etc. does not allow enough tilt so water remains in any hollows. You have to dry the bottoms of cups with a towel before removing them from the rack to prevent wetting the other items. Rather than the usual condensing system, Miele uses a fan to remove hot, wet air from the machine. Not a problem in a warm climate, but in a British winter your windows and any other cool surface will be running with condensation. It cleans slightly better than my previous Whirlpool and about the same as my earlier Bosch. Those each lasted about 8 years. They say the Miele should last 20 years. I don't think I can wait that long!

I've had my Miele dishwasher with a very similar design for 15 years. It went wrong 5 years ago - it developed an internal leak. The design of the dishwasher saved me thousands, as it stands on an oak floor. The very bottom of the dishwasher caught the leak, and a float switch turned it off. The repair cost a few bob, but it wash interesting to see that the replacement part had been redesigned, so as to prevent that particular kind of failure happening again.
The reviewer has been a bit stingy with his stars. He has not tested the durability, or the service and support.
He or she does not appear to have the intelligence to empty the bottom tray first, so that if any of the middle tray items have some water in them or on top of them, you just tip it inside the machine without wetting any dishes.
The top rack is height adjustable.
And the problem with condensation has not occurred in my house in the UK - and I have single glazing in my kitchen dining room. The author clearly has other condensation problems that he or she has not owned up to. It sounds like the dishwasher is in a cold room.
