“Just selling boxes !”

Have bought loads of stuff from Currys/PC World over the years...who hasn't !
They seem to operate on the principal that most of the "boxes" they sell will be Ok and the ones that aren't ...well hard luck matey !
Recent TV purchase was missing part of bracket stand - impossible to get through on telephone - re packed 49" TV ( what fun ! ) and returned to store.
Spoke to one of their "Know Alls"...whatever they are called.... informed they needed an Authorisation Number from Samsung....who are impossible to get on phone....was told that's reasonable.
Whats not "Reasonable" is that they sold me a product not fit for purpose and not same as one on display in showroom.
I can just imagine their staff meetings ...." DO NOT REFUND / EXCHANGE anything....customers do not matter ....what matters is OUR bonuses.
Anyway , I persevered and got my missing bracket....they opened another box...probably resold and some other poor s-d has same problem.
My point is this - if there is a problem it should be sorted out without a defensive argument from Currys.
They have no appreciation of customer goodwill or loyalty.....it's the world we live in I guess.
Good luck with your next "box" from Currys....I shall shop elsewhere in future.
