“WORST service I have ever received from a shipping...”

The only reason I rated DPD one star is because 0 is not an option. This company has twice failed to deliver my package and lied about it. The first time I tried to play by the rules, calling various service numbers and asking for the package to be delivered the next day according to my instructions, this resulted in nearly TWO WEEKS of delay from the initial scheduled delivery date. One gentlemen in particular, in the warehouse in Avonmouth, was just downright rude, screamed at me, and hung up on me multiple times.

The second and recent delivery experience I was more prepared for (I did not ship via DPD, I ordered via Amazon and they chose DPD, I would NEVER choose DPD no matter the price). I left instructions to leave the package in my buildings mail room multiple times ranging from immediately after ordering to the morning of delivery, only to receive a message saying my package was not delivered because I was not home, the same thing that happened the first time. I called to get this corrected immediately because I knew how long it could take me to receive my order. The gentleman I talked to (Will) was both incompetent and rude, lying to me about DPD policy in order to get me off the phone. He refused to transfer me to his supervisor for more than half an hour and when I finally was transferred I was told no one was available and would have to call me back. In the end I had to call customer service again after I arrived home following work to discover, not that I was surprised, that my packaged had not bee scheduled for delivery again that evening as I was promised in the call back.

In closure I would like to point out that my neighbor and colleague has had the exact same experience as I and actually had to go down to the depot in order to get his package. The service of DPD is deplorable and should never be purchased or undertaken voluntarily. If any suppliers want to ship with DPD I suggest you either convince them not to or find another source of the goods you wish to purchase.
