Went into the Basingstoke branch for an eye test appointment, turned up 10 minutes early and was told there was a ten minute delay. I didn't mind as I had allowed 45 minutes with my parking ticket.
Just after I had been checked in, someone turned up saying he had missed his appointment (by nearly twenty minutes by my watch) as he could not find the store. The person serving him said they would fit him in at some point.
After waiting nearly twenty minutes the guy who couldn't be bothered to turn up on time was called into the opticians office.
Incensed, I ask the girl who served me why was he being allowed to jump the queue when he couldn't make the effort to be on time, when I had?
The girl said she would make inquiries as to why.
I had literally walked five paces back to my seat and when I turned around, she was not making any inquiries, she was serving another customer.
With this I just walked out.
What sort of a company would put someone with that sort of attitude ahead of the queue?
I had been a customer for approaching 20 years, but not any more.
