BOOKED RENTED VEHICLE THROUGH EXPEDIA W/THRIFTY CAR RENTAL (AFTER RECEIVING A SOLICITATION TO DO SO) WHEN WE BOOKED OUR FLIGHTS FROM US TO ARUBA FOR RECENT TRIP. WE PAID EXTRA $88 FOR COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER; UPON ARRIVAL, WE WERE TOLD INS COST WE PAID TO EXPEDIA WAS NO GOOD IN ARUBA AND WE WOULD NEED TO BUY COVERAGE THERE AGAIN. WE ARGUED, BUT WE DID AND PAID FOR THE WEEK, FIGURING WE COULD OBTAIN REFUND FROM EXPEDIA. WE EMAILED THEM UPON OUR RETURN, BUT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD ONLY STATE THAT THRIFTY DENIED OUR REQUEST FOR A REFUND - IDIOTS. WE WANTED OUR $88 BACK FROM EXPEDIA - NOT THRIFTY. AFTER 5 EMAILS BACK & FORTH WITH THE SAME RESULT, WE HAVE FILED A DISPUTE WITH OUR CITIBANK CREDIT CARD. WE HAVE LEARNED OUR LESSON AND WILL BOOK AIRFARE DIRECT WITH DELTA GOING FORWARD AS THERE WAS NO SAVINGS WITH EXPEDIA ANYWAY!! LESSON LEARNED!!! I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE KNOWN THAT MY CITIBANK CARD COVERED DAMAGE TO MY RENTAL CAR, BUT I DID NOT! DUMMY IN VIRGINIA
