“Defiantly a company to avoid&like dodgy door to door...”

written by Lay-Z on 22/09/2017

First of all i would like to say that I have not ordered a Wren Kitchen myself but I am a self employed kitchen fitter and install kitchens from different companies all the time. So this review is based on my dealing with them even all the feedback from customers.

- First of all I would easily say Wren is the worst kitchen company in my mind. The Kitchens themselves are not bad quality - the units are sturdy and the door are good, but the company is awful. First of all the sales people are terribly dodgy and trained to trick customers into ordering. I have heard this from multiple customers going to different branches. They give you one price then go off to the manager and come back with a massively reduced price and tell you that they can only hold it for 1 day and you can have it if you place a £1000 deposit. One customer told me an employee dropped the price of their original quote from £22,000 to £11,000 using this deposit trick.

- If you have something missing then they often take 3 weeks to order it in and deliver it to you as the don't keep anything in stock it seems.

- Once they forgot to send any feet for ALL the base units and when asked they told us to get them from B&Q and they will replace them. Well thats no use when you're standing there in a customers kitchen installing the units. No offer to pay for the feet and just left us to deal with it.

- On the subject of their base unit feet, they are poorly designed. One piece is made to fit into the pre-drilled holes on the bottom of the unit and hammered in to secure. But they don't work and the unit breaks/cracks before the plug hammers in most of the time.

- Most of their doors come with a plastic film on them which I assume if heated int eh factory to stick on. This is sometimes a nightmare to remove and comes off one inch at a time and will take hours to do. Once we hat to take a door back to the store as in the factory is was put on wrong and melted onto the door making it impossible to remove.

- One customer was sold a kitchen and there was an end panel missing. The customer was told that the line was now discontinued and after about 3 months and tons of calls to customer service he gave up and bought the closest colour he could find from another kitchen company.

This is just scratching the surface of my experiences over the years.
Other kitchen companies do have their own issues but for me Wren is easily one of the worst and one I would never ever buy from myself or recommend to anyone. The sales people can be compared to dodgy door to door window salesmen, the customer service is appalling, usually have things missing and just shocking overall.
