Aware that a second floor delivery can be a challenge, I phoned them before placing my order. They said with so many flats, they have to be able to offer a delivery to second floor (or above). On the advice of the person I spoke to, I phoned again after ordering to ensure they knew it would be a second floor delivery, stairs only. No problem they said. You can guess where this is going. On arrival, late in the day, the delivery guys complained they'd already done two other flats that day. On realising there was a removal as well, they huffed and puffed for a few minutes while umming and ahhing, then decided they wouldn't do it. Neither the delivery, nor the installation, nor the removal. The way they kept shifting their reason (initially moaning of already having done two, and complaining they were busy, then claiming they had a bad back), basically I'm in no doubt they just couldn't be bothered. The delivery crew who delivered the appliance these were to remove, had no problem with the stairs. If their reasons were true, then Curry's should not have sent these two in the first place - they had already been made aware of all the actual objections the crew listed before I placed the order, and then made aware again when i had the order number as well. Pretty appalling.
