“EXTRA CHARGES”

Do not rent from Budget in Port of Paros, Greece. Be aware of extra charges that they do not tell you about unless you read the fine print.
We did not get the vehicle promised or similar and had to settle with what was given to us.
On arrival in the Port of Paros, we were delayed and contacted Budget to ask about pick up options. The customer service representative told us that she would wait for the late arrival but there was a charge of 30 Euros. We were in agreement with this. When we arrived 1/2 hour late, the pick up Depot was closed. There was no lights on and the place was closed. We did not pick up our car, even though they were informed of our late arrival and still required the rental as it was paid in full through rentalcar.com.
On picking it up the next day, they charged us an extra amount of 329.00 Euros. We were expecting a credit as we lost the day in rental. If we did not scrutinize the bill, there would be no mention of this extra cost owing at drop off. Also, we did not get a make and model as promised, it was a down grade. DO NOT RENT THROUGH BUDGET/AVIS!!! (Port of Paros, Greece)
