My wife has a small pay-as-you-go mobile that is for use in an emergency. This mobile has just been switched off by Vodafone without any prior notice. When asked why, they said it had not been used for 3 months and that the number was now lost to us.
This is appalling business strategy as we will now never use Vodafone again having switched to O2.
We further benefit as O2 provides a good signal in a Dorset village we visit regularly for which Vodafone provides negligible coverage.
My mobile is also currently on the Vodafone network but will be changed to another network when next replaced, so Vodafone will have lost two customers!
