“Totally disgusted with My Home insurance policy”

Wind damage 1 tile got blown off by wind.

1. Won't repair as wind speed was only 40 mph should be 55 mph to qualify? Stupid and who sets this criteria by the way? Have they not considered wind gust? They're stronger than normal wind speeds.

2. Secondly, won't repair or fix as I have not cleaned my gutters and done maintenance to my 14 yr old roof. Seriously in today's standard that is still classed as newly or recently built roof which looks new with no problem with drainage.

3. Thirdly won't cover water damage as it doesn't count as accidental. Are they mad? Are they saying it was done intentionally? I have spent my hard earned cash on nothing.

4. Last but not the least they require £ 150.00 up front before they can send someone to assess the damage. Totally wrong and unethical who regulates this people? They shouldn't treat customer this way!
