Konica Minolta magicolor 2550 has crisp text. Excellent build. Low purchase price for what you get. Speedy output. It's not the worst printer I have owned, but it isn't the best, either. It's noisy in a small office environment and the replacement-toner costs are far too steep. Output quality is excellent, especially text. Colour photos are surprisingly good, too, on plain paper, although that's not the primary purpose of a colour laser. Expense of consumables and the poor print alignment mean I won't be keeping this printer once the toners run out.
Very fussy about paper type, so frequent jamming. Noisier than average. Paper often goes out of alignment during printing, no matter how carefully it's loaded between the guides. Toner costs the same as a completely new printer, so you might as well sell it or dump it once the toner runs out. How environmentally friendly is that?
