“bIG Store with lots of stuff after sales service is...”

Purchased living room furniture in early January 2017 to be told some would need to be ordered and a date of availability and it took over a month longer to get to us, they gave us 10% vouchers back so we purchased some a Amelia Vanity unit ( £95 ), a CASA Mirror Bathroom Wall cabinet ( £70 reduced to £55 ) and several other bedding items to the total of £283 .
When the boxes came to the desk we could all see the box was ripped and badly damaged in the top corner so the young lady at the till just opened the CASA Mirror Wall cabinet box and although the Cardboard and polystyrene was damaged the top of the carcase wasn't damaged in that area , she did not take the unit fully out of the box to check it so we accepted that it in good faith and would be ok.
The items were placed into our car by their storeman and carefully placed into our new empty shed as we were waiting for our bathroom fitters to be available.
Sadly there was a death in my family which delayed the Bathroom refurbishment a bit.
This week we have put the Vanity unit up and that was all ok , but when we opened the CASA Mirror Wall cabinet box there is a large crack in the glass the full length of all 3 panels, there is no visible damage to the exterior of the box at all.
My wife contacted Leekes of Llantrisant and has asked for it to be replaced and spoke to a lovely sales woman who sadly is unable to make any decisions about exchanges, so they spoke to their Duty Manager at the store who bluntly said " NO " exchange , so we have asked for the Store Manager to be asked , we have just had a phone call to say he has also said " NO ".
We have been given a number to speak directly to the Store Manager but he is not flexible either.
Their loss as we are presently going through our 4 Bedroom home and slowly replacing the furniture over the next 2- 3 years.
Been to Leekes many times recently in fact we were ther last week, but we will not be buying from here again !
Store is big with lots of stuff but after sales service is shocking !
Check any items purchased from Leekes when you get home irrelevant of the state of the boxes.

The Place for Homes in Llandow has similar Living room Furniture and Bedroom furniture at much more reasonable prices all year round as well.
