Good Points
Good to see something new in the first person genre. Great gameplay. Decent graphics. Good story. Weapons feel just right. Interesting plot twist and variety in gameplay.
Bad Points
Graphics often bland in some places. Vehicle missions feel rushed. Horrible voice acting. Necter makes things to easy in places.
General Comments
Haze sees the player take the role of "Shane Carpenter" a soldier enlisted in "Mantel" a private military corporation that has all the best weapons, vehicles etc. as well as a drug called nectar that turns the average man into a super soldier. But the player quickly realises something isn't rite and switches sides to fight with (instead of against) the rebels or "Promise Hand". This is interesting but seems to happen just as the player begins to get used to using nectar. But your not completely helpless as a rebel. You have many abilities that can be used to balance the fight between the raging necter induced soldiers (that are now your enemies) and your promise hand buddies. Both sides offer a fun and rewarding time with a few technical let downs. 4 player online coop and offline split - creen are an option as well as 16 player multiplayer online. The multiplayer component has you choose to play as either side. But this time its not just to do with personal opinion towards physical appearance. Because the unique abilities remain for both sides. So if you feel like playing like a crazy trigger happy junkie, go with the Mantel troops. If you want to go stealth however, play dead and steal guns; then go with the rebels. Overall this game is well worth the rent and you should definitely consider purchase!
