“Mark Ronson's Version has definitely been a grower for...”

Mark Ronson's Version has definitely been a grower for me and this cover of Zutons track Varlerie, featuring Amy Winehouse is the latest offering from the 2007 album. Once again Ronson has managed to work with the signature style of his guest vocalist and make something wonderful out of an already super tune.

A homage to the uplifting, 60's soulful style of Ms Winehouses recent work (eg Tears Dry On There Own, Rehab), Ronson has captured the essence of her music and merged it with the Zutons' upbeat melody making to create a facsimile of a soul classic that almost wouldn't sound out of place on a Supremes LP.

Very catchy, upbeat and easy on the ears. Nice Work.
