“I use the Charbroil BBQ quite often, 3-4 times per...”

written by on 03/09/2008

Good Points
My 8000 grill in NG is fantastic for cooking. It is however recomended by char-broil to clean every time it is used and store warming tray and Drip Vaporizer bar and cooking grill under cover inside. The 5 year warranty on the burners (which usually last 3 years) only covers manufacture defects.

Bad Points
The warming trays, the burners and the drip vaporiser bar might rust out or burn out within 3 years, like with me. The 5 year warranty on the burners only seems to cover manufacturing defects.

General Comments
I use the Charbroil BBQ quite often, 3-4 times per week. Some times twice a day on the week end. I do not clean the unit every time I use it. The burners, vaporizer bar and warming tray gets replaced every 3 years at a cost (from HD) of $50-$60.00. I have given up on the igniter because it costs over $20.00 and bracket lasts less than 3 months. I guess this is not bad...

I do not like the warranty, but for the cost who cares? They should drop the 5 year warranty on their burners and it would not bother me at all. The aluminum seems to hold up better than some of the 403 stainless steel on the market.

This has been a great grill for the price even though the warranty is non-existent...
