Good Points
I have the ST4 floor spkrs with a SC1 center system backed with two SB2 rear satellites. My powered subs are a Energy 8" and a 10" KLH. All this is driven by a Integra 6.2 tuner. I chose this combo for it's affordability and good overall response with music and surround with our HDTV/Progressive DVD package. I like Jazz! and these smaller speakers give out very clear reproduction across the HZ line. I particularly enjoy the mid-range clarity with piano and strings!! very impressive. I gave up my Def Tech's for these and am not sorry at all. The Integra that pushes this NHT pack isn't their top banger but I was building this package for low and medium decibal ranges to reproduce very clear sound without driving my neighbors crazy. I rate these speakers very high and for you that like higher decibals....no problemo.
Bad Points
I really can't put any bad points on them. They are too remarkable for what they are!
General Comments
I listened to MK's, Def Techs and NHT's in a first class upper-end stereo store. I bought the Def's and had two of them go out on me within the first month. Don't get me wrong here! I loved them but I buy heavy in the "reliability Dept" and they were rejected. I went back and settled on the NHT ST4 speakers for their broad range clarity with crisp highs and mid-ranges for the listening that I do. My subs are not NHT's as I had them prior. For the money I feel they can't be beat with a stick. As a former professional keyboarder and synth man I'm keen on resolution when it comes down to sound reproduction......I've had them for over a yr now....thanks for this opportunity. ED
