Honest Review From A Touring Caravan Over.
a good clean well kept site with the added attraction of being just a ten min slow walk to the station and supermarket. and a 15 min strole to the town center and shops. also main bus station for access to all required parts of the Rock.
havinr read several negative reviews I went with some trepidation as to what I could expect and found all of them totally unjustified.
staff are great and do their best nothing more can be expected of them. location is great and very quiet (we had pitch 129 and totall recomend it) pitch located on well kept lawns with two shower and facility blocks both being a short 100 pace max from the furthest part of site.
Lower Hyde site joins Landguard and they together offer three pools two club houses two entertainment canters and two shops. what more can one ask.
we booked early and a week for five cost £180 inc ferry for car and large caravan. whole week cost just over £500 for five what more can folk expect ??

I Have Just Returned From 10 Days At Languard. We
I have just returned from 10 days at Languard. We will never return to this site. We have been for 17 years berfore Park resorts took over and it was a wonderful site. Now it is a tip....the tiolet block was permanantley filthy and like the previous reviewer was told the other block had not been opened for a while. After many complaints to the Manager they were opened....only 1 shower in that block though. The Isle of wight on the other hand is wonderful and there are plenty of lovely sites to go to. We looked at Whitecliff Bay, and that looks very well cared for so will be trying that site next time.

We Visited Languard Holiday Park The Last Week Of
We visited Languard Holiday Park the last week of July 10. We were in a tent the pitch size was good however, the shower blocks were not kept very clean and they always seemed to be running out of toilet paper. There was 2 blocks 1 of which was not open and has not been open according to others for a couple of years. They also had good sized washing up/laundry & ironing room (which have to be paid for) There was a tap for running water and the drain kept blocking. We did use the swimming pools and the girls (aged 4 and 6) enjoyed the slide. The entertainment in the evening was good but started too late (after the Bingo) for littlies like ours. The play parks were well kept and you could use the facilities of the other site which had a shop.

Great Place!!! Much Better Than My Expectations. W
Great place!!! Much better than my expectations. We had visited (my wife, 18 month old son and myself) Landguard holiday park in the last week of June. The static caravan was spotlessly clean. Got the keys at sharp 4pm from the reception. Kitchen was fully equipped and clean. Staff was very friendly.
Did not use the outdoor pool as it was dirty. And did not use the restaurant much as I was not happy with first meal I had there so did not try again. But there is supermarket about 10 mins (walk) from the site and got all the food stuff from there.

We Took Our Grand Children (2 And 6) To Landguard
We took our grand children (2 and 6) to Landguard Holiday Park for their first holiday without mum and dad, and we all loved every minute the caravan was a gold class and had everything we wanted, it was squeaky clean, the grounds were well kept and the playground well maintained there was also two swimming pools that were patrolled by life guards and also looked very well supervised, we will certainly be using park resorts again and the children want to go next year!! So that is praise indeed .

I First Stayed At Landguard Holiday Park In Octobe
I first stayed at Landguard Holiday Park in October 04 and then again for Christmas 04.
The entertainment staff were fantastic and bar staff.
Father Christmas came to all accommodation on xmas morning and gave each unit a bottle of wine.
Our accommodation had xmas decorations up, I could not fault our break here on both occasions. I will be going again in the near future.
