“After using reviews to make my decision on double...”

After using reviews to make my decision on double glazing I thought I ought to give my own opinion (especially after they did such a good job). We had 27 windows and 3 exterior doors fitted so it was a big job. When we met the salesman we asked that he did not give us the long sales banter- we just wanted a quote- no banter was given (good start) just the quote and a description of what crystal do/their product. The quote was better than the other 2 companies we had spoken to but we weren't ready to sign there and then, a little bit of 'i cant guarantee this price for long' was given- but we didn't give in to this. The following day (sunday) we received a call saying that if we could have the works done in 2 weeks they would give us' x' discounted price, as their books weren't all full in March. This sounds like a bit of a line but the price was half that of the other quotes we had had so we went ahead- we were keen to get it done asap anyway and had done a lot of research on the company- checking the fensa/companys house etc



It took 2 teams 3.5 days to complete the work. The fitters arrived in marked vans, they were professional and reasonably tidy. There was minimal damage to the interior decoration (a touch of paint needed hear and there- much less than i expected) no wallpaper damage.



The finished product looks fab, we had led in the fan lights and a composite door which look great. Equal sight lines on the windows gives a really good symmetrical look. I feel the house is much safer now, looks much better and is quieter/warmer



After the windows were finished we found that a window sill was loose and a handle on one of the windows didn't lock properly- considering we had so much work done I did expect there to be at least 1 or 2 probs. We rang crystal and they sent someone to fix the problems the following week (today) the guy has just been and gone- everything fixed. he reminded me that if there were ever any probs we had the 10 year guarantee.



Overall an excellent job/service and price. I would definitely recommend
