“Just Don't...”

written by Homiletical on 02/05/2017

Went to Bridgemere Garden Centre with the family on Bank Holiday Monday, and came to the conclusion that whoever sets the prices must be on a different budget from the rest of us. Expect to pay double what you could pay elsewhere for just about everything. The restaurant was a disaster with surly staff, who could do with some training pronouncing the words' please, thank you and sorry." They had all but run out of food by 1.20pm. Took over 40 minutes to turn up at our table with a "Fish Finger Sandwich," hardly a cordon bleu offering. Would have been longer had we not gone to complain. Was one word of apology offered - not a bit of it. We sat in the part of the restaurant designed for families and drawn in by a soft play area, which we thought might keep the little ones amused while we waited. It was £2 for each child to use. Given that the food is highly overpriced (said fish finger sandwich costs over £6.00!, a can of Pepsi £1.80), you would think they could afford to let the kids play for free, but this is Bridgmere. It's a wonder they don't rent out the seat around your dining table. I wouldn't waste my time going here again. If you want plants you can buy them cheaper elsewhere. If you want food - there are plenty of better places to eat with better food at better prices. Just hated this place.
