The worst mobile service provider I have ever encountered.
I have lived in both the U.S. and France and have never been held hostage by a mobile company before.
I signed up for a 12 month 29.99 pound contract with EE to be able to make calls in the EU.
What I did not know was that the U.K. is not part of the E.U. and that outside calls to E.U. countries from the U.K. costs a fortune to make.
Meanwhile, in France or Belgium, I can make calls to other countries at normal price.
Now I am faced with paying a 80 pound bill for 3 times I called to France from the U.K. within the last 4 months.
When I called to try to get my money back I was told that it was my fault. I then tried to cancel my account and was told that I would have to pay 200 pounds to leave my contract.
This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered and will cancel my contract when I am contractually allowed to do so.
Congratulations EE on turning away another customer. I will ensure to let everyone know to stay away from your services.
Absolutely despicable company.
