General Comments
Have owned this Mustek DV3000 for just over three months. As I tend to travel quite a bit, this is a great little camera for taking lots of pictures and videos (you will need to get a larger memory card though - I found a 256meg for $65!). The small size means you can carry it with you almost everywhere and simply pull it out of your pocket when you see something interesting. The pictures usually turn out pretty good... not professional grade of course, and the video quality is passable at best. I use this camera to take lots of pictures of things I would probably not want to waste "real" film on and once downloaded to my computer I can delete the bad pics. I have found that video quality is much better (and indeed passable) if played through the TV with supplied AV wire - I don't bother with trying to play the video through my computer as the resolution is way too low.

Treat this camera as a cheap but fun toy (which it really is) and you won't be disappointed. If you want a camera to document a once-in-a-lifetime trip or to record your wedding, well you will probably be disappointed with the results.

The software that comes with the camera is a bit of a joke - I have deleted these programs from my hard drive an rely on windows XP software (I have also downloaded windows movie maker software - which is a slight step above the camera's packaged program).
