Good Points
Proceeds from Good Will benefits charity, huge array of things offered from various U.S. location, all available online. The site is pretty easy to use, photos of goods often have multiple views available, and potential buyers can ask questions or request additional information via email to seller. Goods are shipped in a timely manner.
Bad Points
Shipping and handling charges can be high, although some items can be combined for shipping. Shipping and handling is substantially more than cost. Numerous times I have received things that were not really as described, for example, described as in good condition when the actual condition was less than good. A couple of times I received damaged goods because items were not well packed, even though shipping charges are high. When that happens, the seller will not refund shipping & handling, only purchase price, and buyer has to pay again for return shipping.
General Comments
Shopgoodwill is an online thrift store, auction style, that markets goods donated to charity from around the U.S. They have a little of everything available, and lots of nice things. They're pretty good to do business with, and the information they provide about items up for auction is usually pretty true, not exaggerated. Buyers have the pleasure of knowing that sales revenue is put toward social good. It can be difficult to work out problems, when they arise, with sales transaction. Response time is a bit slow at times, and buyers end up loosing money on returns because shipping and handling are not refunded, even if seller is at fault. I like this store anyway.
