Not Receiving The Service I Paid For!!! Hardcore Theifs!!!

I WANTED A TRAINER BECAUSE I WANTED TO GET INTO SHAPE FOR MY HEALTH AND SUMMER. I SPECIFICALLY TOLD THE BOSS OF THE TRAINERS THAT I COULD ONLY DO IT FOR THREE MONTHS AND NOT SIX. BECAUSE I WAS LEAVING FOR COLLEGE. SHE AGREED AND SAID THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. I PAID FOR ALL THREE MONTHS AND ONLY RECEIVED ONE MONTH OF THE DAM TRAINING SESSIONS. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. PLEASE DONT EVER CONSIDER THIS DISGUSTING COMPANY. IVE PAID OVER $600 AND HAVENT GOTTEN THE SERVICE. THIS IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL , PLACE EVER. STAY AWAY FROM THE TRAINING PROGRAM. AND DONT BELIEVE THEIR "NO CONTRACT" BS. THEY DO HAVE FCKING CONTRACTS. THEY JUST LIE ABOUT IT.

THESE PEOPLE ARE FAKE, NASTY, AND AMATEURS .

ESPECIALLY THE GYM IN WEST FLAGER IN MIAMI.

ITS NEXT TO A PETSMART AND OUTBACK.

NOT GOOD PEOPLE. THEIFS!!!!!!!

Horrible

I signed up about a year and a half ago. I really was looking forward to this gym. now I cant stand it!! I stopped going because I moved and I wanted to cancel my gym membership and so I asked the manager what do I need to cancel and he clearly told me "read your contract" didn't even bother to look up at me. This is the LOA in CoralWay Miami. Then I pass by them to go into the store next to them, and as im walking they look at my aunt (she is big, because of a hereditary problem)and say "get a membership with us you need it" mind you they are screaming this to her outside the gym where people are passing by. They are extremely rude, and they don't follow the right rules because even if you try to be a nice person, call and cancel step by step they wont allow you.

Poor Customer Service

This gym is VERY impersonal. Unless you belong to a select group of women, the staff rarely (never) even bothers to say hello. After going for almost 5 years, I don't even think the owners recognized me when I walked in the building (the gym is very small & so is the town).

Equipment is OFTEN broken, and the classes are held in the center of the gym (cars driving down the road can check you out while you sweat). It is generally poorly kept.

Love This Place!!

I've been a member here for about 3 years. Love all the changes they've made to the place. I love that they have the new TRX equipment available! And I love that it's all women. Makes for a comfortable feel. I've never been into fitness before I found this place!

Refuse My Cancellation, Even Though I Moved 45 Minutes Away

Not only did they change everything and eliminate the equipment and the classes I signed up for, but when I moved from Dallas to Allen, more than a 45 minute drive, the corporate refused my cancellation. I spent a month sending documents providing paperwork on the home I purchased, and then they come back and say I am only 23. 9 miles from the gym. Seriously...with 26 gyms within 5 miles of my home why would I drive 45 minutes to an inferior gym in Dallas.

Do Not Join This Gym/147 + 104 Miami Location

I join this gym and is very dirty. Nobody care to teach you how to use the machines. The ac is always high very hot place. Now I can't get out of my contract need to wait for 3 years.

The Worst Experience Ever

I am European and when I was sighing my contract I specifically asked what would happen if I'll decide to move back. Lady at the front desk said it wont be any problem. I'll just have to email them and cancel my membership. Sure enough year later I was moving back to Europe so I contacted LOA and they asked me to email to National Fitness.

First - I signed contract with LOA so why I have to contact someone else to cancel??

Anyway, I did that. With my cancellation letter I also emailed them my new ID from my homecoutnry.

Week later I received call just to tell me that they wont accept it since they can't understand my new id! Uhm daaaaa... what am I supposed to do? Translate my ID so you can understand it?? Are you kidding me? I a meantime they charge my cc!

So I emailed them confirmation letter in English from my new employer. Nobody contacted me at all but I could see they charged my cc AGAIN! I had to call them to see whats their problem and they just said they wouldn't accept my employment letter..

I contacted Delta airlines to send me a confirmation that I was on the board and I left country! For Delta to reply it took another month so sure enough they charged me AGAIN!

I forwarded them the Delta confirmation and I haven't hear back since!

no confirmation,no email, no call.. nothing..

I called them to make sure they got it and.... they asked me for $50 cancellation fee! WOW... I never want to hear about this company ever again! STAY AWAY. There are gyms with actual customer service out there!!!!

This is true. They trick you into signing a contract. I went with a GROUPON and after the GROUPON ended they asked me if I wanted to sign up. I told them no and they said I could do it month to month so I agreed and they made me sign the first page of what she said was month to month. They did not give me the second or third pages. Since I signed up for month to month and they said I would pay when I attended I did not go for 5 months. Then I got a collection notice, was never ever send a bill from LADY OF AMERICA. When I went to complain the girl that signed me up said oh well I signed you up month to month I don't know what happened and said she could not look at the files because they were locked, which was a lie. THESE PEOPLE ARE LIARS DON'T JOIN THIS GYM.

Warning: Do Not Sign Up For Automatic Monthly Payments.

Read the contract VERY carefully before signing. They have the right to charge your account for any fees they choose. If you want to quit, you have to give 60 days notice. Once they have you in their grips, you have to really struggle to get out. it seems that their main concern is your wallet. Very poor customer service.

Expensive With Few Amenities

What I love about LOA is that it is only for women! Much better than co-ed health clubs where you have to work out next to sweaty guys, or worse, be ogled by them. Now the con's: LOA is one of the few health clubs that requires a contract (18 month to be exact), which is a sign that they don't retain their members without a contract - not good. Secondly, their monthly rates are as high or higher than the large clubs that include indoor pools and other amenities. Which brings me to #3 - their amenities do not compare to their co-ed competition. A wet area in a women-only club WOULD be a huge competitive advantage and could actually influence the female members of 24 hour fitness to make the move to LOA. It would have made the difference for me....so now I'll just have to go check out LA Fitness. Same price, no contract, with a heated pool and spa. C'mon LOA - you can do better!

They Close, Then Transfer Your Membership

until today, I felt like I took the closing of my local club in stride, especially since our members got less than 24 hours notice that the gym was closing, for good. I always thought the owner was great as an operator, and there may be more to the whole story, but regardless of her, the corporation of LADY OF AMERICA shows bad business sense here and lack of concern for their CUSTOMERS!

Today I find out that the Lady of America insists that we pay forward the November dues, because they transferred our membership to a gym that is TWENTY MILES AWAY. That is FORTY miles roundtrip. Disgraceful. It is now my mission to blacken the name of the Lady of America corporation: and ladies remember, it is not the corporation, but the PEOPLE you work out with that makes it worth it.

We have to give notice for cancelling our membership, but LOA doesn't give us notice that we have to quadruple the miles and time spent to getting to the gym? bad form LOA.

Then I google the corporation, and find there are other LADY OF AMERICA clubs, beyond the one they transferred us to...why were we not given any choice?

Lady of America the corporation sucks, and I will invest some time spreading that truth anywhere I can find a voice.
