General Comments
Owned 3 months, I am pretty impressed. Looks good & performs well (if not as good as last Celica). The dash looks ace at night and I like the seats, although they scrimp a bit on the alcantara in places. It understears when pushing on, but generally drives well. I can get 52 (53 quoted average) around the pennines, driving like my dad. I haven't driven it flat out for long enough, but am guessing mid 40's if I do. All diesel figures from the government are very optimistic without doubt.Bad bits!It hasn't used any oil 2000 miles in, but am aware of the disclaimer to check it every time you fuel. Oil is 0w30 synthetic Castrol Edge at £47 per 4 litres. It takes 6.5 litres which is a serious hit come service time (tip-Makro £35+ vat). The rubber grip on the handbrake came away after a week, annoying but I haven't taken it back yet. The hand brake itself is pants. You need loads of pull and it is creak city when you get in or out. Even worse than my old Vectra. Also the Type S badge on the back was not stuck properly. Ditto tailgate slam to shut. Also the paint scratches easy when rubbing off tar spots. Oh and you can't tell what the car behind you is due to spoiler and can't see at all in rain.

Despite all this still like it.
