Disgraceful! Been with Chess for around 6 years now, every time my contract comes to an end I find a cheaper deal elsewhere, even thought Chess say they won’t be beaten on price there are always cheaper deals out there the best they can ever do is match it. I just signed up for another year as they managed to match another provider’s deal. I was advised there would be a lack of internet during the changeover, of Corse I understand this, but the telephone would be ok. I have Call divert on my telephone this is essential for me to carry on with my business as out of the office a lot also a Static IP Address so I can view my CCTV and call display, it’s now two weeks into my new contract and at my busiest time of the year these services are still not working , I have called so many times to Chess on an 0844 number costing a fortune and still not able to get through to customer services just endless hours on hold, I called their free phone number to new business and left a messages and several emails still with no response, I have been in touch with another provider to take over the service, then out the blue I had a call from Chess customer services telling me if I leave I will be liable for the new contract I have agreed as my cooling off period of 8 days has expired. Who’s in breach of contract here? You had your chance Chess, see you in Court!!
PS. This morning I have received a letter from Chess with termination fees and if I wish to discuss the issue please their Customer service team, I am sorry very busy today don’t have a couple of hours spare.
