I booked a party for my 5 year old after a conversation with Aplus. They had offered me "free" party bags - I had asked some questions regarding how many they would provide and what would be in them, and the person was very vague. I went ahead and booked the party anyway, but this nagged me, so I searched via Google and found this web-site plus the Watchdog reviews. I immediately cancelled the party via an e-mail and asked for my deposit back. Like another reviewer I then had lots of threatening e-mails saying I was "in breach of contract" as I hadn't cancelled correctly and now had to pay the balance or they would take me to court. I did some research and found that Aplus should clearly state their cancellation policy (which they don't), so they are in breach of distance selling regs. I contacted my credit card company and they refunded the deposit back to my card. I also wrote to Aplus and stated they were in breach - I have never heard from them again. We used another entertainer who just wanted paying on the day and he was fab!!
