“As a UK based station the Garmin C510 Deluxe is very...”

Good Points
Good size screen
Long battery life - 8 hours
Auto night sensor so changes colour between night and day

Bad Points
Instruction manual is next to useless
Some of functions only found by accident when I touched the screen.
As some functions are only available when driving it's not a good thing to experiment with.
The deluxe was a present for me to use in France as the Europe map came free - the French map was virtually unusable - at no point was the car indicator actually on the road, in towns this genuinely means you think you are on one road and you are actually on another.
Downloading of routes to and from the Garmin unit has to done by manually saving the file - there is no auto update function which on a model at this level you would think would come as standard.

General Comments
As a UK based station the Garmin C510 Deluxe is very good.

The non-existent instructions do not do credit to the product.

In the UK I have found the product easy to use and accurate - if you cannot find an address try only using part of it or just the post code - I have found that in some instances a full address is not recognised but parts are.

I would recommend the product as the base model (not deluxe) - it is not worth paying the extra for the European maps as the French ones are of no use. (I don't know about others)
