I was recommended the Mamas and Papas Pliko Pramette and as having no experience in prams and buggies as this is my first child, it felt ok so we went ahead and brought it. My baby is very long (born 11lb) so has hardly fitted into the pram mode. I also found it wasn't suitable as it seemed to have a dip in the middle so I ended up putting a moses mattress in it to keep his back straighter. for a while i folded down the flap at the end and let his feet hang over although i had to obviously watch him all the time for safety reasons. the basket is nice and big but cant be accessed from the back of the pram so in the shops i always have to line the side of the pram by the checkout and get in everyones way to fit the shopping in. on the positive side its very sturdy and hasn't fallen over and I've put quite a lot of weight on the handles. i like that the handles shorten down as its the only way it fits into the boot of the car. its not a bad size folded down, but I'm now looking to invest in a more compact buggy as we are going on holiday and need more boot space. i also want to add that I'm 5ft9 and my husband is 6ft4. the handle height is ok for me, but i find i end up kicking the buggy step above the wheels and i have learnt to walk like john wayne to avoid standing on the wheels! hubby gets a bit of a back pain but its ok for short walks. i also think the breaks seem really stiff to put on, PLUS there is absolutely no way i can fold it down one handed. overall i did like it, but now I'm in two minds. i think i wouldn't get a travel system again, whoever makes it and have been put off mamas and papas. i would also agree with others' comments that the customer service appears to be really poor after purchase.
