I Bought a number plate for my daughter, only to be told they don’t supply the number plates and I have to go to Halfords.

I have no words!

Ordered a plate from this company. Sent all my documentation by recorded delivery on 19th May. Waited 7 days as requested and still nothing. Contacted via email and the owner of the plate had not sent the paperwork to the office. Waited again. Contacted company once again for an update. It would appear the company did not own the plate and now the plate is held up with breaks in the tax history of the plate. Waited once again. Contacted again and now the direct line to DVLA had gone down.

Finally got my plate in the middle of June. Nearly 4 weeks it took rather than the 7 days advertised.

I purchased my private plate after looking online and stalling wondering if it was the right safe thing to do. I need not have worried as the site took me through each step easily and told me all I wanted to know.

Sent off my documentation on a Monday at 5p.m. had the plates through my letterbox on the Wednesday morning and an email Wednesday afternoon letting me know I could legally put my new reg on my car.
