I am 53 years old and have had bikes since I was 16....well mopeds and then bikes. I have owned all sorts of bikes from a GT250 Suzuki to a CBR 1000 Honda and a BMW R100RS and last Christmas I decided to sell my Bandit and give up biking, so I sold the Bandit....that lasted for two weeks and then I missed having a bike! I bought a 2007 Sportster with 800 miles on it and all I can say is it's the best thing I ever did! I love riding my Harley, I have put another 1100 miles on the clock this summer and every time I get on it I grin from ear to ear. It isnt quick, the brakes are not the best and the suspension is a bit soft, but the pleasure I get from riding it is amazing! I look forward to sunny Sundays (I am too old to ride in the rain..unless I have to) and just to have a blast round the lanes and to enjoy the ride. I don't feel that I have to ride quickly ('cause the bike doesn't go that quick). If you want to get your knee down on every bend this is not the bike for you, but if you want a bike that will make you smile when you press the starter button and you are not trying to ride like a GP racer then you might just enjoy it.
