General Comments
We went to the Sultan Palas as a family with two teenage sons.

I was aware that it would be quiet and tranquil and was not disappointed. The hotel is in a beautiful garden setting with forests behind. Swallows swoop to drink from the swimming pool and frogs and the occasional tortoise visit.

It is some way out of Dalyan and you are tied to the hotel ferry timetable as you have to cross the river to reach the town. However this just becomes part of the fun of the holiday and the boat trip is a major pleasure in itself.

I was under the impression that the hotel clientele were mostly retired Brits who come back regularly but there were plenty of children when we stayed who had a blissful time in the pool (and occasionally "helped " to steer the boat!).

The food was good and excellent value but I would recommend occasionally eating out in Dalyan where we had some memorable meals.

I would recommend the Sultan Palas wholeheartedly if you wish to relax and recharge your batteries in a beautiful place.
